US Open Final: Two bets for Sinner vs Fritz

The US Open final is here and we have Italy’s Jannick Sinner and America’s Taylor Fritz facing off in hopes of being crowned champion at Flushing Meadows. Jannick Sinner has already claimed one Grand Slam this year with victory down under at the Australian Open and he’s looking to add a second slam to his resume here. We’ve taken a look at the betting markets for this event and offered our two best bets for the action.

Jannick Sinner to win 3-0 – 6/4

Sinner is a big favourite in this one, and for good reason. The Italian was destined for greatness from a young age, and at 23, he has certainly established himself as one of the best players on tour.

With injuries seemingly no longer a big concern for Sinner, he has progressed in the past 12-14 months, winning multiple titles and even his maiden Grand Slam. He is now consistently playing some unbelievable tennis and hasn’t had an injury problem in quite a while.

When it comes to the head-to-head matchup between the players the two have only met twice, once in 2021 where Fritz was victorious and later on in 2023 where Sinner won. I think it’s very telling that Sinner won the matchup later on in their careers and these days I think Sinner has simply turned into a much better player in all areas.

As previously mentioned, the world number one comes in as a big favourite for this, with most bookmakers pricing him at around the 1/4 mark. I think this is going to be a fairly routine win for Sinner and I can’t see him dropping a set here. Him to win 3-0 is currently priced at 6/4 and I think that’s a decent bet when you consider just how good he is playing at the moment.

Over 9.5 games in every set – 4/1

Next up is a higher-odds play, which we’re siding with over 9.5 games in each set. This is priced at 4/1, and the reasoning behind this is how well the two have served throughout this tournament.

Whilst I am still confident in a Sinner win, Fritz has a really good service game and breaking his serve is still going to be quite a tough task. This is also a bet that was cruising home in Fritz’s last game until the final set where Tiafoe ultimately faded due to fatigue.

In that last game alone, Fritz served 17 aces, proving how good his serve is. Sinner served 11 aces in his straight-set win over Jack Draper.

It’s going to be quite tough to break either one of these players on serve and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few tie breaks in this match. Over 9.5 games means we require at least 4 games in each set from both players which I think is completely doable and looks a great bet at 4/1.
