Super Group is continuing its US expansion in with new launches and sponsorship opportunities.
The online gambling operator Super Group has announced the launch of its Betway brand in the states of Colorado and Indiana.
This comes after Super Group announced plans for a $4.75bn US listing via a merger with the special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) Sports Entertainment Acquisition Corp (SEAC) in April.
Betway launches in Colorado and Indiana
Super Group has now confirmed the launch of its Betway brand in Colorado and Indiana.
The operator has secured market access into a total of ten US states through an agreement with Digital Gaming Corporation (DGC).
Under the agreement, DGC has the exclusive right to use the Betway brand in the US, however, there are plans in place for Super Group to acquire DGC in the future pending regulatory approval.
The operator anticipates another launch in the state of Pennsylvania “shortly” and expects to enter two additional states in the coming months.
Richard Hasson, President and COO of Super Group, said: “We remain focused on the addition of markets, products and customers around the world, as evidenced by the launch of our brands in two states and two countries in the last three months while continuing to sign sponsorships with some of the world’s greatest sporting events.”
Super Group’s US expansion plans
In April, Super Group announced plans to go public on the New York Stock Exchange with a $4.75bn valuation via a SPAC merger with SEAC.
Under the agreement, both companies will combine and apply to list their shares on the Exchange under the SGHC ticker symbol and the new combined entity will operate under the Super Group name.
In addition to the pending merger and listing, the operator has secured several sponsorship opportunities to help drive its US expansion.
Super Group has inked a multi-year partnership with the National Hockey League and the Betway brand is set to sponsor several upcoming ATP Tour events including the Miami Open.
Neal Menashe, CEO of Super Group, added: “I am pleased with the way our global team has continued to make progress alongside the added tasks associated with becoming a publicly listed company.
“We continue to meet our business objectives. The Company is performing well, and our brands continue to perform in their markets. In the US, DGC now has the first group of states live under the Betway brand while continuing to add market access beyond the initial ten we announced in May. We also are seeing excellent opportunities to thrive in our existing core markets globally. This is the essence of Super Group – a menu of growth opportunities around the world.”
