On Wednesday, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City launched land-based and online sports betting operations in New Jersey.
The launch of sports betting operations at Hard Rock Atlantic City makes Hard Rock the eighth Atlantic City to launch a sportsbook since the repeal of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) last year.
The Hard Rock sportsbook is powered by Malta-based Gaming Innovation Group (GiG).
New Jersey residents and visitors will be able to bet on sports online with Hard Rock via HardRockSports.com and HardRockCasino.com.
In a statement, Kresimir Spajic, senior vice president of online gaming at Hard Rock International said: “The launch of the sportsbook at HardRockSports.com is another milestone on our journey to becoming the most innovative and comprehensive online gaming service for players in the State of New Jersey.
“Sports are integral to New Jersey’s culture and HardRockSports.com provides fans with the best platform to bet on their favorite teams and sporting events.”
GiG initially announced the sports betting partnership with Hard Rock in October 2018.

The launch of the Hard Rock sportsbook is just in time for the Super Bowl, one of the most popular sporting events in the world.
A recent survey published by the American Gaming Association (AGA) suggests that Americans are likely to wager about $6bn on the Super Bowl this Sunday.
