spain v germany euros 2024

Spain vs Germany Predictions, Stats & News

Germany and Spain have been the two most impressive teams at this year’s Euros and it is a shame that the pair have been drawn against each other so early in the knockout stages.

However, they look set to put on an intriguing encounter between two of the powerhouses of European football.

This pair were the top two scorers in the competition heading into this clash and have conceded just three goals between them in their eight games.

This blockbuster clash takes place in Stuttgart on Friday and looks set to be one of the matches of the tournament.

Tip 1: Draw @ 9/4 with bet365

These two teams have been the standout performers in this year’s competition and there may be little to split them when they meet in this quarter-final clash.

Three of the last four meetings between these two have finished 1-1 and a stalemate looks a big runner between two teams that have been so solid defensively and impressive going forward.

Spain will present a big threat to Germany on the counter but La Roja have not faced an attack that is as fluid and fluent as the hosts.

The ability of both teams is there for all to see and it may take extra time and possibly even penalties to split them.

When Spain got to the semi-finals of the last European Championship all three of their knockout games went to extra time so they have previous on that front and the draw is the pick.

Tip 2: Nico Williams to score or assist @ 7/4 with bet365

Nico Williams has been one of the breakout stars of this tournament with his performances out wide for Spain attracting plenty of attention, along with the teenager Lamine Yamal on the other flank.

The Athletic Bilbao winger recorded a goal and an assist in their 4-1 win over Georgia and is fancied to get one or the other here.

Joshua Kimmich is not the best defender one on one and Williams could be the man to take advantage.

Side with the Spain winger to record a goal or assist in this one.

Tip 3: David Raum to be shown a card @ 3/1 with bet365

David Raum came into the German team for their win over Denmark and if he retains his place could be a prime candidate for a card in this game.

The RB Leipzig man is an ultra-attacking left-back and could be caught out defensively by the dangerous Yamal.

Raum picked up six cards in 30 Bundesliga starts last season and looks to be a live contender to be shown a caution in this game.
