England and Spain will battle it out in Sunday’s Euro 2024 final in Berlin as the month-long action in Germany concludes with a heavyweight showdown.

Spain were not particularly fancied before a ball was kicked but La Roja have been the tournament’s stand-out team so far as they look to be crowned European kings for the first time since 2012.

The Three Lions, meanwhile, have grown into the competition and might just be about to peak at the perfect time after they saw off the Netherlands 2-1 in the semis.

Tip 1: Draw – Full-time @ 15/8 with bet365

It promises to be a huge occasion in Berlin as England look to overcome more stiff opposition and lift their first piece of major silverware since the 1966 World Cup, while making amends for their defeat on penalties to Italy at Wembley at Euro 2020 in the process.

Spain are sure to be up for the challenge, though, as they have demonstrated their class over the course of the last month, and the final should be a fiercely-contested battle between two teams jam-packed with world class stars.

La Roja have won all six of their matches en route to the final, while England have reserved their best displays for the latter stages, building on an encouraging performance against the Swiss in the last eight when deservedly seeing off the Netherlands on Wednesday.

There are match winners all over the pitch but, with what’s at stake, the final could play out to be a cagey affair, in a similar fashion to recent European Championship deciders.

Four of the last five Euros finals have seen two goals or fewer scored in normal time, with only Spain’s 4-0 demolition of Italy in 2012 bucking that trend, and the showpiece has been decided by just one goal on three of the last five occasions.

Tip 2: Lamine Yamal to score first @ 15/2 with bet365

Teenage sensation Yamine Lamal will be ready to showcase his ridiculous talents again on one of the biggest stages in world football on Sunday.

Yamal, who turns 17 on Saturday, scored a sensational goal in the 2-1 semi-final win over France and the Barcelona starlet will want to lead his side to glory, while outshining England’s own star men.

Jude Bellingham, who has scored twice in the tournament, Harry Kane, who has three goals, and Phil Foden are all potential England heroes on the night, but Yamal showed no fear when curling home a beauty to help knockout Les Bleus and he could be at it again in the German capital.

The teenager has belied his age at the tournament as he has not only scored crucial goals but his tenacity, energy and skill on the ball has marked him out as one of the rising stars of the game, with early comparisons already being made to Lionel Messi due to his background rising through the ranks at Barca’s academy.

It would cap a remarkable breakthrough tournament for the youngster if he was to get on the scoresheet in the final and, from what we have seen so far, he looks well capable of doing it.

While his odds to score any time at 7/2 appeal, the 15/2 on him to open the scoring is more tempting and is the pick here.

Tip 3: Marc Cucurella to be booked @ 11/5 with bet365

Marc Cucurella came in for some harsh treatment from the local Germany fans in the semis when he was booed throughout against France for what was a perceived hand-ball from the Chelsea man in the quarter-final against the hosts.

The left-back handled the occasion well but he has had some difficulties during the tournament, being caught out at times out wide for Spain.

Cucurella, who has 80 Premier League appearances under his belt, will know what to expect from England but, likely to come up against an in-form Bukayo Saka, he could be in the thick of it defensively for his country.

It would not be a surprise to see the 25-year-old, who was cautioned 10 times last season for Chelsea, go into the book at some point on Sunday as he attempts to halt some swift England breaks.
