After a full round of midweek action, the Premier League returns on Saturday afternoon for gameweek 22, beginning with a long trip to the north east for Bournemouth as they face Newcastle.
Elsewhere, Liverpool and Arsenal both resume their title challenge later on Saturday with a trip to Brentford for Arne Slot’s men and a home meeting with Aston Villa for the Gunners.
Sunday’s quartet of fixtures pits returning Everton boss David Moyes against the under-pressure Ange Postecoglou at Goodison Park, with both Manchester clubs also in action as they look to salvage their troublesome seasons.
Newcastle to beat Bournemouth @ 4/7 with Paddy Power
Newcastle are odds-on to make it 10 wins on the spin in all competitions when they host Bournemouth in the first game of the weekend, and Eddie Howe’s men look good value for the three points despite their opponents’ good form.
The Magpies equalled their record for successive competitive wins with their dismantlement of Wolves in midweek and the 26 goals they have scored in this emphatic run could be a defining factor when Bournemouth visit St James’ Park.
The Cherries, who are an impressive eighth in the table, conceded twice against Chelsea in midweek, and only Leicester, Wolves, Ipswich, and Aston Villa have conceded more goals away from home than Andoni Iraola’s side this season.
Mohamed Salah to have 2 or more goal involvements vs Brentford @ 7/4
Mohamed Salah had six shots in Liverpool’s draw with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday but failed to register a goal involvement, but that is a rarity for the Liverpool talisman this season.
The 32-year-old leads the way for both goals and assists in the Premier League with 18 and 13 respectively, while he has chalked up 39 goal involvements in 30 competitive appearances for the club this term.
No less than 23 of these have come in his last 15 games, and his last 10 Premier League outings have seen him register two or more goal involvements on five occasions.
He should be able to make a big impact against a Brentford defence that have conceded nine times in their last four home league assignments.
Tomas Soucek to score first vs Crystal Palace @ 12/1
Graham Potter picked up a much-needed three points in his first league match in charge of West Ham in midweek, beating Fulham 3-2, and Tomas Soucek could help them on their way to another victory this weekend.
The Czech midfielder scored the Hammers’ second goal against the Cottagers to take his tally to five top-flight goals this term, and three of those strikes have opened the scoring.
One of those was in the reverse fixture at Selhurst Park as he set the Hammers on their way to a 2-0 win, with that being his fourth career goal against Crystal Palace.
Soucek’s third and fourth goals of the campaign were both opening strikes, against Wolves and Newcastle, and he can get his side off to a fast start again.
