Premier League GW 34 Preview

Premier League Game week 34 Preview

The FA Cup semi-finals take place this weekend and that means we don’t have a full quota of Premier League fixtures, but the title could still be decided at Anfield on Sunday.

Arsenal’s midweek draw with Crystal Palace means a victory for Liverpool over Tottenham at Anfield in the final of the six Premier League fixtures this weekend would see the Reds crowned champions.

Ipswich will be relegated if they fail to beat Newcastle or West Ham avoid defeat at Brighton but the real interest is in the battle for the top five spots.

Fifth place is good enough for Champions League qualification this season and with five games remaining, just four points separate Manchester City in third from Aston Villa in seventh.

Tip 1: Liverpool to win and both teams to score vs Tottenham @ 5/4 with bet365

Liverpool are the massive favourites to beat Spurs and rightly so, but the visitors can at least play their part and get on the scoresheet at Anfield.

Tottenham will obviously have one eye on next week’s Europa League semi-final first leg against Bodo/Glimt but they have enough about them to make Liverpool work for the win.

Spurs have scored in each of their last five games and Liverpool have found clean sheets hard to come by at home, conceding in seven of their last nine Premier League home games.

Both teams have scored in each of the last nine Premier League meetings between these two sides, with Liverpool claiming a 6-3 win in the reverse fixture earlier in the season, and that pattern could well continue.

Tip 2: Harvey Barmes to score anytime vs Ipswich @ 13/10 with bet365

Newcastle are currently in possession of the coveted fifth spot and they can ensure they remain in the Champions League places by seeing off doomed Ipswich at St James’ Park on Saturday.

The Magpies did slip to a 4-1 loss at Aston Villa last time out but that defeat ended a six-game winning run across all competitions and they look well placed to get back on track against a side who have six defeats in their last eight league games.

Ipswich have shipped 71 goals in 33 league games this season so Newcastle may be able to grab a few goals, and in-form Harvey Barnes is a clear contender for an anytime effort.

Barnes has four goals in total in his last four games and he has either scored or assisted in each of his last five Premier League appearances.

Tip 3: Kamaldeen Sulemana to score first vs Fulham @ 14/1 with bet365

Southampton need one more point to ensure they avoid matching the lowest ever points tally in a Premier League season and the visit of Fulham perhaps provides a chance to get over that particular line.

The Cottagers have four defeats in their last five games across all competitions, and they have also conceded first in four of those five fixtures.

Saints forward Kamaldeen Sulemana has managed just one Premier League goal this season but he perhaps should have a few more.

The Ghana international averages exactly one attempt per game in the league and he has been getting more chances of late, with eight attempts in total across his last three Premier League appearances. At 14/1 he is a decent outside bet to open the scoring when Fulham visit St Mary’s on Saturday.
