First up we’re siding with Fnatic to win this Best of 3 against G2. Form might not be on Fnatic’s side at the moment but I think the steps they have made this year have made them a much better team than last split and with those improvements in mind, I think they have the ability to finally defeat G2 in the playoffs. Last split this game was extremely close and Fnatic really should have closed out the series with the leads they had but they failed to do so and I’d put that down to a lack of experience with the roster. Well now they’ve had plenty of time to gel together and I think they have one of the best rosters in Europe.
Last split I feel it was Noah who was the weak point in their game and with the current meta favouring him, I believe they have enough tools to get a win here. The bot lane matchup will be the key here and if Noah and Jun can have a good day, I think they have this game in the bag.
Fnatic to win 3-1 – 15/2
Next up to find more value in the betting market, we’ve gone with a correct score bet for this game. Now whilst I’m siding with a Fnatic win, I don’t think they’re going to straight up blow them out of the water. I still expect G2 to win a map. Ultimately I do think Fnatic have it in them to win this one and I don’t think they should be priced as such heavy underdogs. It’s pretty rare that Fnatic keeps the game clean and I do expect G2 to still put up a fight and that’s why we’re siding with Fnatic to win this game 3-1.
The way we see this going is Fnatic take an early lead in the first map and go on to win, then after getting a comfortable map lead, G2 will do as they always do and come up clutch, then after that I expect Fnatic to get it together and win this series out. It’d be strange to see G2 fail to win a map but it’s not out of the realm of possibilities.
As previously mentioned in the last finals, Fnatic took an early lead and then carried on with the pressure in the second map but ultimately failed to capitalise on G2 playing poorly, I think G2 have been shaky this season and have shown a lot of cracks in their armour and Fnatic should be able to expose that if they can play some clean League of Legends.
