The US sports betting giant DraftKings has teamed up with the pizza company Domino’s to give Americans the chance to win a share of $200,000.
Domino’s believes that it offers customers “the best and most convenient carryout experience possible” and as a result is launching a new “Carisde Delivery two-minute guarantee”
Under the guarantee, if a pizza ordered via Domino’s Carside Delivery is not delivered in less than two minutes after checking in, your next pizza will be free.
How does DraftKings fit into this?
Domino’s has teamed up with DraftKings to launch the “Carside Delivery 2-Minute Guarantee Over/Under Challenge.”
The free-to-play prediction game, devised by DraftKings, asks customers to predict if Domino’s Carside Delivery nationwide will be quicker than two minutes, more or less than 80% of the time, for the chance to win a share of $200,000.
The challenge, which can be accessed at draftkings.com/dominos or via DraftKings’ daily fantasy app, is only available in the US and will run until 12 July 2021.
Those who correctly predict Domino’s performance will split the cash prize of $200,000 at the end of the challenge. This means that the more winners there are, the smaller each share of the winnings will be.
Art D’Elia, Domino’s EVP and CMO, said: “While Domino’s is no stranger to guarantees, this is the first time DraftKings has created a betting pool based on a company’s performance.
“We want to make every delivery to customers’ cars an easy and fast experience, and if we don’t, we’re going to make it right.
“As a company that prides itself on transparency, and to show how much we believe in our franchisees and stores across the country, we’re giving customers the opportunity to predict how we’ll do and have a little fun, for free.”
DraftKings in the US
Following the fall of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act in 2018, DraftKings has established itself as a household name in sports betting and online gambling in the US.
DraftKings currently offers online sports betting in more than ten states including New Jersey, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Indiana, and Virginia. The gambling giant also offers online casino gambling in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Michigan.
Earlier this month, DraftKings launched DK Craps, a digital craps game that features custom graphics and DraftKings branding, in the state of New Jersey.
