The NFL announced today, that the league has selected Caesars Entertainment as the “first ever official casino sponsor of the NFL.”
While this is the first deal with a major gambling operator for the NFL, the NHL, NBA and Major League Baseball have all entered partnerships with MGM Resorts International.
The multi-year sponsorship will begin with the upcoming 2019 NFL playoffs and will Caesars provide “unique experiences” for fans of the sport using a “wide range of entertainment elements.”
The partnership will grant Caesars the exclusive right to use NFL trademarks in the US and UK to promote Caesars casino properties at major NFL events.
Caesars will also host different elements of the NFL’s 2020 Draft alongside other Las Vegas properties.
In a statement, the NFL made it clear that this partnership is only for the casino category meaning that the partnership does not include sports betting, daily fantasy sports or hotels and resorts.

Mark Frissora, President and CEO of Caesars Entertainment said: “All of us at Caesars Entertainment are thrilled to be the first-ever casino partner of the NFL, the most prominent sports league in North America.
“Combining the league’s 180 million fans with our 55 million Total Rewards loyalty program members will expose millions of people to the exclusive and exciting year-round opportunities at our properties.”
In the press statement, Caesars highlighted that seven NFL teams already have some form of relationship with the company these teams include the Falcons, Ravens, Bears, Colts, Saints, Raiders and Eagles.
