The Cardinals’ business and football operations employees have worked under the same roof for decades, but that will be changing.
Many business staffers will soon be moved into a new office building that is off-site, multiple sources told Compare.bet.
The size of the training facility has been an obstacle as the organization has grown in numbers, and this will help alleviate the issue.
The new office location has not yet been shared but it is expected to be in close proximity to the facility, which is located in South Tempe.
While the transition for groups like finance, human resources, business development and community relations shouldn’t have an outsized effect, it remains to be seen if the Cardinals’ digital content and social media teams will be moved as well.
The groups regularly attend practices, press conferences and other team-related events at the facility, and a relocation would make that more difficult.
The change will give the coaches, scouts, football operations staff and others much more room within the facility, which was becoming overcrowded due to staffing expansion.
The Cardinals already have a faction of their employees working full-time from State Farm Stadium in Glendale.
The news comes on the heels of Suns and Mercury owner Mat Ishbia investing more than $100 million for a new Mercury practice facility and employee headquarters in downtown Phoenix.
