It was a big day for bad teams on Sunday, as the Patriots, Giants, Bears and Broncos all captured upset wins.
They each improved to 2-5 on the season, creating some separation at the bottom of the pack.
As the NFL regular season nears its midway point, the Carolina Panthers are the only team without a win, while the Arizona Cardinals are now the only team with one loss.
Since their playoff hopes are already fried, the focus turns to the draft. Unfortunately for Panthers fans, their first-round pick is now in the hands of the Bears after they dealt it in the move-up for Bryce Young this offseason.
Between that pick and their own, Chicago is in the driver’s seat to capture the No. 1 overall pick, with a combined chance of 55.4%, according to FTN Fantasy.
The Cardinals have seen their odds surge amidst their four-game losing streak and seem like the one viable threat to Chicago securing the No. 1 pick.
Here are the odds to finish with the No. 1 overall pick, per FTN Fantasy.
- Bears (via Panthers): 42.8%
- Cardinals: 20.5%
- Bears: 12.6%
- Giants: 6.9%
- Broncos: 6.5%
