James Harden would like to join the Los Angeles Clippers in a sign-and-trade after opting into his contract with the 76ers.
Will it happen?
There has been little movement over the past several days, as Los Angeles is reportedly not too interested in giving up substantial pieces for the talented-but-aging guard.
DraftKings has a wager available on who Harden will play his next regular season minute for, and the Clippers are the odds-on favorites, though there are some interesting other potential suitors.
While Harden’s relationship with the 76ers is reportedly frosty, Philly has the second-best odds as he is currently under contract with the team.

Damian Lillard has requested a trade to Miami and if the Trail Blazers acquiesce, it seems unlikely Harden will end up there. But if the Heat can’t pull it off, it will be interesting if Harden becomes a possibility, though there are reports that Miami doesn’t have much interest.
The same has been said for the Knicks, although the pairing could make some sense if the trade return is minimal.
After that comes a list of longshot next team odds for Harden. The Houston Rockets were the favorites after the season but chose to go in a different direction. Even so, they are still tied for the fifth-best odds to land him, along with the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers.
The Phoenix Suns are next, though it’s very unlikely considering the Suns already have a Big Three of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal with a roster that was filled out nicely in free agency.
