Kyler Murray’s injury did not look good when it happened, and fears of a torn ACL were realized on Tuesday morning.
The Cardinals’ star quarterback underwent an MRI that confirmed the season-ending knee injury, a source told Compare.bet.
Murray was injured on the third play of the game against the Patriots when he attempted to change directions on a run. Recovery from torn ACLs are generally nine months, which could put his availability for the start of the 2023 season up in the air.
The Cardinals dropped to 4-9 with a 27-13 loss to the Patriots and will play out the final four games with backup Colt McCoy as their quarterback. Arizona is currently in line to select sixth in next year’s draft.
