The Jacksonville Jaguars are poised to make an aggressive push to sign Christian Kirk when the free agency negotiating window begins on Monday, a source told Compare.bet.
There has reportedly been a robust market for the 25-year-old slot receiver, and it is the Jaguars who may come out on top. Kirk was originally looking for around $15 million annually in free agency, per source, but Jacksonville’s offer may even top that.
Kirk had 77 catches for 982 yards and five touchdowns in 2021, flourishing after moving to his natural position in the slot. He set career highs in receptions, yards, catch percentage and yards per target.

The Cardinals were interested in bringing Kirk back but are not expected to be in the mix if there is a bidding war for his services.
The Jaguars have $39.6 million in salary cap space, which is fifth-most in the NFL, according to OverTheCap.com. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence, the No. 1 overall pick in 2021, struggled as a rookie, and Jacksonville seems intent on adding more weapons around him.
