The Colts and Jets have long been viewed as the top two destinations for Raiders quarterback Derek Carr.
While the oddsmakers at DraftKings still have both teams firmly in the mix, another serious candidate has emerged.
The New Orleans Saints, who opened as 10-to-1 longshots to add Carr this offseason, now have the second-best odds of any team at +400, which trails the Jets but is ahead of the Colts.

The Saints finished 7-10 on the season and were ranked No. 22 in passing efficiency, according to Football Outsiders.
Jameis Winston and Andy Dalton were the quarterbacks and neither found much success. New Orleans has been searching for a capable replacement for Drew Brees over the past two seasons, and with a roster still built to compete now, adding someone like Carr would make sense.
Saints head coach Dennis Allen had that role in Oakland when the Raiders drafted Carr in 2014 but was fired shortly after.
The Saints are in a tough spot with the salary cap and if they choose to hit the reset button, a younger, cheaper alternative is likely. However, the front office has been loathe to rebuild even with the retirements of Brees and coach Sean Payton, so it remains to be seen what happens this offseason.
The weakness of the division could be a factor. The NFC South is there for the taking if the Saints can be competitive next year, and if New Orleans becomes the next team for Carr, that could be the push needed to make a return to the playoffs.
Carr is a middle-of-the-pack quarterback who struggled in 2022 with Las Vegas. The Saints have a nice collection of offensive weapons, including Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara and Chris Olave, but may have to part with Thomas because of cap constraints.
It’s going to be an interesting offseason in New Orleans, but the betting markets seem to think a pairing with Carr is a distinct possibility despite the hurdles.
