The Cardinals’ acrimonious offseason has reached the betting market.
BetMGM has odds on which quarterback will take the first snap of the 2022 season for six different teams, and Arizona is on the list.
It would have been an unforeseen development a few weeks ago, but a potential rift between the team and star signal-caller Kyler Murray has led to speculation of a possible divorce.
Murray is still the heavy favorite to take the first snap of the 2022 regular season for the Cardinals, with odds listed at -1000 as of Wednesday morning. However, according to BetMGM’s John Ewing, his odds began at -2000.
The odds of someone other than Murray taking the first snap of next season for the Cardinals has risen from +850 to +550.

Murray recently scrubbed his Instagram account of Cardinals mentions, and then on Super Bowl Sunday, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen had a report in which anonymous sources called Murray self-centered, immature and a finger-pointer.
Arizona Sports radio host Dan Bickley said on air Monday that “I recently heard that at halftime of games, he is known to call his girlfriend,” but a source told Compare.bet such an accusation was a “flat-out lie.”
Murray is a two-time Pro Bowler who is now eligible for a contract extension heading into his fourth season.
Another team in the NFC West has odds listed on its quarterback situation. Seahawks star Russell Wilson has -400 odds to take the first snap of the season for Seattle in 2022. Any other quarterback has +280 odds.
The New York Giants’ Daniel Jones has -400 odds to take the first snap for his team, with +280 odds that it is another quarterback.
Teddy Bridgewater is listed for the Denver Broncos, although he has underdog odds at +500 to take the first snap of the season for the team. Any other quarterback has -800 odds.
For New Orleans, Jameis Winston has +340 odds to take the first snap of the regular season. Any other quarterback is listed at -800 odds.
The final team listed is the New York Jets. Zach Wilson is the heavy -1400 favorite to take the first snap of next season, with any other quarterback listed at +700.
