Nathaniel Hackett was the third head coach to get fired during the season, as the Denver Broncos made the move after a blowout loss to the Rams on Christmas Day.
Hackett, the Colts’ Frank Reich and the Panthers’ Matt Rhule have all been terminated this year, and there is one other coach with overwhelming odds to get fired at the end of the season.
Odds are out via SportsBetting.ag, and Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury has been listed with -700 odds to be fired before the first game of the NFL playoffs. The Texans’ Lovie Smith, the Raiders’ Josh McDaniels and the Saints’ Dennis Allen are also on the short list, but none come close to Kingsbury’s odds to get fired.
Here are the full odds for which coaches will be fired before Game 1 of the NFL Playoffs:
- Kliff Kingsbury -700
- Lovie Smith +300
- Josh McDaniels +500
- Dennis Allen +700
- Kevin Stefanski +800
- Todd Bowles +800
