Everyone loves the first day of the draft, but Day 2 can be just as important when it comes to team-building.
DraftKings has unveiled odds for draft prospects to go in Round 1, and there are some intriguing names that are expected to still be on the board when Friday rolls around.
Georgia cornerback Kelee Ringo and Georgia Tech edge rusher Keion White are two high-upside prospects who are slight underdogs to be taken in the first round.
If they remain on the board heading into the second round, it will be interesting to see which teams snatch them up.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have the first pick of the second round following their trade of Chase Claypool to Chicago last season, followed by the Texans, Cardinals, Colts, Rams and Seahawks.
Here is a look at the top-10 prospects with even or underdog betting odds to be drafted in the first round, per DraftKings on April 25:
- Darnell Washington +100
- Keion White +110
- Felix Anudike-Uzomah +125
- Drew Sanders +125
- Adetomiwa Adebawore +160
- John Michael Schmitz +170
- Steve Avila +170
- Kelee Ringo +185
- Josh Downs +250
- Jalin Hyatt +250
Washington is a mammoth tight end that could be used as both a blocker and receiving threat. White is a toolsy but raw pass-rusher that may take time to develop, but has a frame and athleticism that cannot be taught.
Anudike-Uzomah is another intriguing edge-rusher, while Sanders is seen as one of the top off-ball linebackers in the draft.
Michael Schmitz and Avila are interior offensive line prospects that could be good value early in the second, while Ringo was once in the conversation to be the first cornerback selected but has seen his stock drop.
Downs and Hyatt are both wide receivers that hold intrigue but may not be in the same tier as the top players at the position.
There are 10 players listed that are favored to go in the first round. However, several will likely fall to the second since there are always surprises on draft day.
Some of these names could still be available for the Steelers, Texans and Cardinals early in the second round.
