Devin Booker’s Scorching Playoff Run Reflected In Game 5 Prop Bets

Devin Booker has been the best player in the NBA during the postseason, and there really isn’t much debate.

He’s averaging 36.8 points, 7.4 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 2.0 steals per contest, but those aren’t even the most impressive statistics he’s produced.

Booker has been unbelievably efficient from the floor, especially for a shooting guard, sinking 62% from the field, 51% from 3 and 87% from the free throw line. He has accumulated 2.25 win shares, which is the highest in the league, and only Nikola Jokic has also surpassed 2.0 wins shares in the postseason.

Unsurprisingly, the oddsmakers have taken notice. Here are several Devin Booker prop bets for Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals showdown between the Suns and the Nuggets on Tuesday night. Be forewarned: they are sky-high.

Devin Booker Total Points: 32.5 (Over -102/Under -125 at FanDuel)

Even though the ‘under’ is the slight favorite, Booker has the highest over/under scoring total not just in this game, but in any game, period, currently listed on FanDuel. Kevin Durant, Nikola Jokic and Stephen Curry are close, but Booker could finish with a banner night of 32 points in this matchup and still go under the total. Wow.

Devin Booker First Quarter Points: 9.5 (Over -110/Under -120 at DraftKings)

Booker has exploded out of the gate in recent games and the oddsmakers could see it happening once again. He tends to play a lot in the first quarter, which helps his chances, but still, this is quite the line. Booker needs to reach double digits in scoring in the first 12 minutes to hit the over, and it’s only the slightest of underdogs.

Nuggets-Suns Game 5 Leading Scorer: Devin Booker +150 at BetMGM

Kevin Durant is one of the greatest scorers in the history of the NBA, and Nikola Jokic is fresh off a 53-point performance in Game 5, but Booker is the favorite to finish as the game’s leading scorer. Durant checks in with +195 odds, while Jokic sits at +260.

Devin Booker Total Assists: 8.5 (Over +120/Under -150 at DraftKings)

Not only is Booker scoring the ball at a crazy rate, but he’s also been piling up the assists. The Suns are not expected to have point guard Chris Paul again in Game 5, which means Point Book will again be alive and well.

Booker registered nine assists in Game 3 and 12 assists in Game 4 with Paul, so it’s easy to see why his assist total has gotten inflated. The under is a pretty heavy favorite, although Booker has finished with fewer than eight assists only once in the past five games.

Devin Booker To Record a Double-Double: Yes +165/No -250 at BetMGM

Big men and point guards usually have the best odds to finish with a double-double, and Booker’s odds do trail Nikola Jokic (-3000 to record a double-double!) and Kevin Durant (+120) in this category. But Booker has better odds than inconsistent Suns center Deandre Ayton to produce a double-double.

The points/assists duo is the most likely, although Booker has come close to double-digit rebounds a couple of times this postseason. Booker only has two double-doubles in nine playoff games and did it rarely in the regular season, so this one may be overpriced, but it’s a nod to his current dominance that the odds are this good.
