2022 Week 11 MNF Betting: Keaontay Ingram and Two Other Anytime Touchdown Longshots

There are a bunch of skill guys with good odds to score a touchdown in the Monday Night Football matchup between the Cardinals and 49ers.

And while no one would blink an eye if Christian McCaffrey, James Conner or DeAndre Hopkins found paydirt, we are going underdog hunting today.

Here are three longshots that I believe hold some good value. At these odds, if even one hits, we will be rewarded handsomely.

Cardinals RB Keaontay Ingram (+1100 at FanDuel)

As first reported here at Compare.bet, the Cardinals released second-string running back Eno Benjamin last week because he was vocally upset about his lack of playing time. 

Benjamin is now with the Texans, which has left a void at the backup running back position behind Conner. Enter Keaontay Ingram, the rookie sixth-round pick out of USC.

Ingram is only averaging 2.0 yards per carry this season, but he did have a rushing touchdown in Week 7 against the Saints when he was the backup behind Benjamin. While Conner is going to get the lion’s share of the carries, Ingram should see some limited work.

This game is being played in the high altitude of Mexico City, which could result in more substituting so Conner can catch his breath. Ingram is 6-foot-tall and 215 pounds, which makes him a viable threat around the goal-line.

Conner is going to gobble up the majority of the carries in this game and will likely be the guy if a running back scores, but the odds are favorable enough here to take a flier on Ingram in his newly-elevated role.

San Francisco 49ers defense (+550 at FanDuel)

The Cardinals had a wonderful game plan last week in a win against the Rams and executed it to perfection. They used a quick passing game to mitigate the Los Angeles pass rush and get the ball into the hands of their skill players.

However, they are 10-point underdogs in this matchup, and if San Francisco takes a lead, quarterback Colt McCoy will have to hold the ball longer and take some shots downfield.

Colt McCoy's average time to throw against the Rams was 2.13 seconds, the second-quickest of any QB this season, per @ZebraSports.

The 49ers have a great pass-rush, led by Nick Bosa, and myriad playmakers in the second and third levels. It would be a surprise to me if San Francisco scores a defensive touchdown in the first half, but this bet could definitely cash late, when Arizona takes more chances while attempting to rally.

I think a pick-six and a scoop-and-score are both on the table for the ferocious 49ers defense in this game.

Cardinals TE Stephen Anderson (+2200 at BetMGM)

Zach Ertz is done for the year with a torn ACL, leaving a void at tight end for Arizona. Second-round pick Trey McBride is expected to take on a major role going forward, but that is reflected in his anytime touchdown scorer odds, which sit at +400 on DraftKings.

Anderson has exactly one catch for two yards this season, so it’s understandable why this is such a longshot wager. However, he played a season-high 37% of the offensive snaps against the Rams last week when Ertz went down and he could get sizable snaps in this game.

Anderson is not going to get any attention from the San Francisco defense, and if he sneaks into the end zone, it’ll result in a huge payout at these odds.
