The NBA trade deadline is Friday, February 9 at 3 p.m. ET, and some serious movement is expected.
The biggest piece potentially in play? Nets superstar Kevin Durant.
Following the trade of Kyrie Irving to the Mavericks, the likelihood of Durant being on the move has increased. In fact, DraftKings sportsbook has placed the odds at -250 that Durant is traded to a new team before the deadline.
Durant is tied for the sixth-highest odds to get dealt at the trade deadline. He has been sidelined for about a month with a knee injury but could be back on the court soon. The Phoenix Suns were a hotly-rumored destination in the summer before Durant and the Nets patched things up.
However, if Brooklyn feels like its championship window is gone, dealing Durant for a treasure trove of assets would make sense.

While Durant is the biggest name, other stars are on the list. Westbrook has played well this season but the Los Angeles Lakers are five games under .500 and could look to change up the roster with a deal.
The Toronto Raptors are currently on the outside looking in at the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference, which is why VanVleet and Anunoby have been mentioned in trade chatter for some time.
Reddish was traded from the Atlanta Hawks to the New York Knicks 13 months ago and is overwhelmingly expected to be on the move once again. The Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic have been mentioned as potential suitors.
There are also many players with underdog odds to get traded. One of the most notable is Phoenix big man Deandre Ayton.
He signed a lucrative contract extension with the team this offseason but tension has remained, and he is now eligible to be dealt. Ayton has +160 odds of being traded before the deadline. His odds were +200 a few days earlier.
Injuries have dropped the Suns to 30-26 and in the middle of the pack in the West, although the core of a team that was among the best in the NBA the past two seasons is still intact. If Phoenix is able to trade for Durant, Brooklyn would likely need to be amenable to Ayton as the headliner in the return, or the Nets would have to find a third team in the deal.
