Pros and cons

Promo Code

For new customers, the first bet on FOX Bet is risk-free. To participate in this welcome offer, you must first sign up and verify your account, then opt-in for the promo and place your first real-money sports bet. If your first bet loses, FOX Bet will refund your stake as an online free bet up to a maximum of $500. Minimum odds of -200 apply to both your qualifying bet and your free bet, and you must place your free bet within seven days of it landing in your sportsbook wallet. Customers must register as FOX Bet customers; users who register with PokerStars or the PokerStars casino do not qualify for this welcome bonus.

Sports

With a selection of around 17 different sports, FOX Bet is on a par with its sister site FanDuel when it comes to its sports coverage. You can bet on the likes of the NFL, MBA, NHL, and NBA, as well as on sporting contests from around the world. Clicking on each sport reveals that the betting markets available at FOX Bet offer a decent amount of depth. Fire up the soccer tab, for example, and you will see betting options on the English Premier League, Italian Serie A, the World Cup 2022, and more besides.

Odds

Sports fans will find that the betting odds available at FOX Bet meet the market average, so you won’t have a fear of missing out on better deals elsewhere. FOX Bet also comes good with a variety of odds boost promos. You’ll often see enhanced odds action available on local teams or players, which can boost the size of your potential wins. There are also regular ‘Super Boost’ offers, with a different way to get involved in each. The Friday Super Boost, for example, is sent via push notification to FOX Bet app users, who then have just 20 minutes to take advantage of the better odds. The Tuesday Super Boost offer is a fan-decided affair, with voting taking place on Twitter. FOX Bet also invites bettors to create personalized bets and request tailor-made odds using the hashtag #custombet on Twitter.

Live Betting & Streaming

FOX Bet offers live betting markets on several sports, including baseball, hockey, soccer, tennis, and darts. Each live sporting event featured on the FOX Bet sportsbook comes complete with a live infographic, real-time stats, and a medley of in-play betting picks. The cash out option is also available on many bets, which is perfect for either securing a profit early or cutting your losses. Unfortunately, and rather unusually for a sportsbook from one of the biggest sports broadcasters in the country, there is no live streaming available at FOX Bet. Live streams are available at many other top online sportsbooks, so FOX Bet misses a trick here. You can watch many events live on the TV and FOX Bet will often remind you of where to catch the big games and matches. But nonetheless, the absence of live streaming on the site or in the sportsbook app means that in-play betting at FOX Bet can lack that edge-of-the-seat vibe.

Promotions

While the welcome bonus is the most generous offer at many online sportsbooks, FOX Bet bucks the trend by offering a selection of high-quality free bets and parlay bonuses for regular customers. Current promos include a $5 risk-free casino wager for Monday night football bettors. To qualify, you just have to opt-in and wager $10 on the NFL. This will get you 100% up to $5 back on any losing stake on casino games such as blackjack and slots. You can also scoop a cash bonus of up to $10,000 on any winning parlay bet with four or more legs. This parlay boost offer is available daily, which, together with the regular odds boost offers, means there is always something extra to shoot for at FOX Bet.

Design & Usability

A crisp blue and white color scheme, together with user-friendly navigation, makes the FOX Bet user interface very easy to use. Menus along the top and left-hand side of the screen offer quick links to popular sections of the website, so you can quickly hop to your favorite sports betting markets, opt-in to bonuses, deposit money, and so on. The all-important online bet slip occupies the right-hand side of the screen, ready for you to populate with your real money sports bets.

App Review

FOX Bet offers a native mobile app for Android and iOS devices, including mobile phones and tablets. Each app has all the best features of the FOX Bet desktop site into the handheld experience. There are plenty of reasons to download the app, though perhaps one of the most notable is that you can opt-in to receive the Super Boost offers delivered directly to your home screen via push notifications every Friday. The app is free to download from the App Store for iPhones and iPads and Google Play Store for Android devices, if you’d like to try it out for size. Cashier

FOX Bet accepts various payment methods on its site, though some are specific to certain states. Visa and Mastercard debit and credit cards, online bank transfers, PayPal, Skrill and PayNearMe are common to all. Cash payments are available via VanillaDirect in New Jersey, Colorado, and Pennsylvania, and through the Paysafecard in Michigan. New Jersey bettors can also deposit using a PokerStars Play+ card or at the cashier cage at the Resorts Casino and Hotel, Atlantic City. When it’s time to cash out, withdrawal options at FOX Bet include online bank transfers, PayPal, and Skrill, though, as with deposits, bettors in the Garden State can also withdraw using a PokerStars card or at the cage.

Deposit and Withdrawal Times/Limits

All the payment methods at FOX Bet allow bettors to make instant deposits, so you won’t need to hang around for your money to land in your account. There’s a minimum deposit of $10 for all FOX Bet deposit options, and the same magic number applies when you want to cash out your winning bets. If you want to claim your cash quickly, your best bet is to withdraw via PayPal or Skrill, as e-wallet withdrawals can take just a few minutes. Funds requested through an online bank transfer, on the other hand, can take up to ten days. In New Jersey, customers can collect cash from the cage as soon as they receive a confirmation email, which takes about two hours. Withdrawals to the PokerStars card take three to five days, including processing.

Contact Details

Some FOX Bet reviews can be critical of the customer support at this sportsbook, mainly due to the sparse selection of options available to users on its website. It’s true, however, that when seeking assistance, customers are limited to a help bot, the site’s FAQ section, and a contact form. However, it’s entirely possible to speak to a human if you know where to look! FOX Bet offers 24/7 live support on its Twitter platform. Not everyone uses Twitter, but FOX Bet deserves some kudos for offering this option.

Our Verdict

FOX Sports made headlines when it became the first major sports broadcaster to launch a co-branded sportsbook with an online gambling company. The resulting product, first released in New Jersey in August 2019, has turned heads ever since. The sports coverage at FOX Bet is on a par with some of the best bookies out there, the app is very easy to use, and the bonuses and promos are some of the most generous around. There are some drawbacks, of course. The lack of live streaming will put some bettors off, and the customer service options on the site could be better. Nonetheless, FOX Bet is a sportsbook that’s still in its infancy, so we expect more advancements to come.
