How We Test

At Compare.bet, we have two ways of assessing a gambling site. First is our review process. Here, our team does a deep dive into each provider and their offering in order to create a comprehensive review. We weigh up a long list of deciding factors, from payment methods to mobile app support and betting options to reputation. 

As part of our review process, we also rate gambling sites with a score. Wondering how we come to that final score? We’ve made the scoring system available for anyone to read and we will continue to update and evolve our scoring to ensure our reviews make it easy for you to find your ideal gambling site.

Sometimes though, it’s even more reassuring to know that someone has actually been a customer of the site, rather than just reviewed it from the outside. That’s why we are rolling out our Real-World Tests.

Our Real-World Tests in six simple steps

1. Sign up
   Create a new account at the gambling site, noting the ease registration and quality of user experience
2. KYC checks
   Successfully complete ID verification (either automatically or manually)
3. Deposit
   Make a deposit using a debit card
4. Play
   Play games, bet on events and generally spend time wagering and browsing the features made available for logged-in users
5. Withdraw
   Withdraw winnings, noting any fees applied and time of withdrawal
6. Confirm
   Confirm receipt of winnings to our bank account, noting the date of receipt

How do I know which sites you’ve tested?

A ‘Tested’ indicator will appear on our comparison tables, showing that the gambling site has been tested end-to-end by a member of our team.

How can I see findings from the test? 

We are working on integrating specific test findings into our review content, and we hope to have this feature available to users soon. In the meantime, you can rest assured that we have personally played, won and withdrawn from the site with no issues.
